We are partnered with our client, a Global Manufacturing organization specializing in advanced materials to recruit an OpEx Lead for an onsite position at a plant in the CA Bay Area.
Compensation is $110-140k plus 20% bonus and benefits
The products this business unit produces are for industries such as Semiconductor, Electronics, Healthcare, Industrial, Petrochemical, Security and Transport. Highly advanced ceramics, alumina formulations, extruded products, machined components, laser, wax injection molding, zirconia and ceramic to metal assemblies.
The OpEx Lead is responsible for all aspects of Continuous Improvement with a strong emphasis on Quality. Partnering with the Plant leadership, they will
identify key improvement areas, deploy initiatives and develop strategic plans.
The OpEx lead will use daily controls and visuals, measurement of KPI's, process change based on KPI, and the application and training of Lean tools (ie 6S, PDCA strategies, FMEA/RCCA, lessons learned, Value Stream Mapping, etc).
We are seeking an OpEx Lead to train “change agent” employees, in all aspects of lean manufacturing, waste reduction, team effectiveness and continuous improvement.

• Leading cross functional CI project teams.
• Working with site teams to establish a daily regiment around key KPI performance and improvement.
• Leading Root Cause Problem Solving projects to improve site metrics in all areas of the business.
• Developing training materials to ensure employees throughout the facilities are trained in CI concepts and philosophy.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preference in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing or Technical field
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt
• Citizen of the United States, or Permanent resident alien of the United States, or Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15
• 5 years direct experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma/DMAIC methodology in the capacity of a Manufacturing Engineer, Lean Coordinator or Operational Excellence Lead
• A plus if the candidate has a background in Chemical Vapor Deposition, Semiconductor or Materials
• Multisite experience a plus
